Born at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Attorney Matthew Midgett graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Finance. He went on to attend Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, earning his J.D.

Matthew was also the President of the Moot Court during his third year and was invited to become a Pupil in the Bleckley Inn of Court (a litigation honor society).
Following law school, Matthew gained experience in Workers’ Compensation law, Personal Injury law and Insurance defense working with law firms located in Atlanta and Savannah. Currently, he is involved with the Savannah Shamrocks Rugby Football Club as both the Vice President and Team Captain.
Matthew’s areas of practice include Family Law, Personal Injury, and State Criminal Defense. He is admitted to practice law in Georgia and the Federal District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia. He is a member of the Savannah Bar Association.
